I was taught to crochet and knit by my mother when I was around 7 years old. My first knitting project was a blue garter stitch scarf for my teddy bear which had an unintentional lace effect with the dropped stitches. My passion for knitting and crochet continues to this day.
When I was a child my mother had her own wool shop. It was the best place to spend time as a child, dreamily looking at all the different colours of yarn and playing in the button drawers, the love has never left me.
I love to design easy patterns that are accessible for all, beginners and the more advanced. I find a simple pattern can be just as beautiful as a more difficult time consuming one.
When I am not busy knitting and crocheting I will be found on my allotment where I grow my own veg and flowers. I have a passion for roses and sweet peas and take inspiration from their colour to transfer to my patterns. There is such beauty in the great outdoors.
