Fibre Art and Creative Design is my outlet. My creations are made up of unique one of a kind designs, classic styled pieces, modern edge designs with a neutral colour pallet or floral with an array of colours or in elegant neutrals, architectural inspired pieces and other design styles. Specializing in Woman’s Accessories and sometimes designs for men every pattern, piece and design are handmade and designed by myself, Valerie Baber.
My knitting passion started when I was 18 and with a homespun knitwear business, called “Hey, Diddle Diddle” developing in 1996. Progressing from designing and knitting ready to wear children’s hats, sweaters and woman’s wear to the knitting world. Writing and designing patterns was the next step. In 2012 I began making fibre art designs for local galleries as well selling on Etsy. My journey has now focused back on pattern writing and design.
