Hello! My name's Trish and I'm from Mid Wales. By day, I work in an office, pretending I know how to use a computer. By night (and weekend, of course!) I knit and crochet. A lot!
I started my woollen adventure in my early twenties because I'd seen my gran making things and I thought it would be nice to have a go. She kindly showed me the basics and also supplied me with the needles, hooks and wool to get started. My first attempts were uninspiring (/wonky!) scarves that took entire seasons and looked like they'd been made by a small (and blind-folded) child. Wearing oven gloves. Then, by chance, I picked up a Jean Greenhowe booklet in a charity shop and was introduced to the idea of making things, ACTUAL THINGS, out of wool. Since then, knitting and crochet have become life-changing obsessions and, at the start of 2016, I set myself the challenge of designing toys from scratch. It's been a lot of fun and, in 2017, my knitted fish featured in the 11 July edition of Woman's Weekly!
