Wash Bear Mitt
Great way to banish wash-time grumps and encourage independence in your toddler! Also make lovely gifts for a new baby.
I first designed these wash mitts for my own children when they were toddlers. Normal flannels are too big for little hands to use independently, and hold too much water, leading to lots of puddles on the floor! Add a smiley face that can make a tired and/or reluctant toddler approach washing a little more enthusiastically, and this bear was born!
The pattern is very easy to approach if you're a beginner, and fully illustrated with step-by-step colour photos. It uses DK yarn, and lots of help on choosing a suitable yarn is included.
This pattern is available in both UK and US crochet terminology - you can choose whichever you prefer to use.
