Since I retired, I have had the privilege of being able to get up every morning and decide what I WANT to do with that day. I have enjoyed crochet since I was expecting my first daughter and she is "over 40" now. I have sewed for much longer than that. I enjoy Native American Beadwork, making pine needle baskets, quilting, applique, embroidery, tatting, felting and of course, crochet. I enjoy the challenge of making something new and I also like re-producing items I have already mastered when other people in my life seem to appreciate them or would maybe be encouraged to explore and develop their own abilities in a new way. I have sold many items for charity and also for profit - mainly to buy more materials. Mostly I gift my creations to the people who I sense would cherish them.
