My name is Lucy and I am addicted to yarn! I love to crochet and knit and am never too far from some yarn and my trusty hooks and needles. I love bright colours and experimenting with different yarns, stitches and techniques.
I live in Rugby, England, with my husband and two children. I was taught to knit when I was just eight years old by my mum but really started to become passionate about all things yarn related when I had my first child and started to make baby blankets, hats and toys for her. I took up crochet when my second child was born and discovered a whole new way to play with yarn.
In 2016 I started my Instagram account @melly.elly.crochet to share pictures of my new hobby and make new friends. The crafting community is so helpful and friendly and I find so much joy and inspiration in seeing what everyone else is making. I have always loved coming up with my own designs and would often get asked what pattern I had used, so I thought I'd start writing my patterns down
