Jo Sharp the designer....
Jo Sharp has been designing knitwear since the mid 80’s. During the 90’s, she developed her own range of luxury hand knitting yarns which became known for their richly harmonised colour palettes and natural fibres. Colour is a primary motivation of Jo's work and she collaborates closely with her Italian yarn makers to create the yarns and shades that are incorporated into her collections. Her collections feature Australian Merino wool together with silk, cashmere, cotton & kid mohair.
A signature element in Jo's knitwear designs is an elegant, earthy simplicity. She is passionate about creating contemporary garments that are truly wearable, comfortable and easy to knit. Jo has created many designs suitable for beginners within her collections.
Jo Sharp has based her studio in Albany, a historic tourist town nestled between mountains and sea, on the south coast of Western Australia.
