I read somewhere that you should knit because you enjoy it, yes you will usually end up with the item you wanted, but just as important is the journey it takes.
We should take pride in every stitch, feel pleased with ourselves for every new lesson we learn and feel relaxed and rewarded as we knit our way through every project.
After reading this something clicked with me, it stopped being a battle to finish that jumper toy or woolly hat.
I take my time to learn new ways of doing things, i used to knit because I wanted that new jumper but to be honest if you are not enjoying knitting it you should go to the shops and buy one.
I now love knitting and I am so much better at it, fewer mistakes and if I do make a mistake I will put it right instead of getting frustrated and abandoning it completely.
There I've done my words of wisdom....back to my knitting x
