I'm a mum of two living in rural Bedfordshire with my partner, Tim. I work part-time as a freelance communications specialist. I like to divide my time between many different crafts and love workshops and dabbling, but my first love is knitting. I find crochet easier though! I love making amigurumi animals for my son. I also do cross stitch, quilting, patchwork, sewing, needle felting, wet felting, mixed media, sashiko and embroidery. Crafts I haven't tried are papercraft and jewellery making.
My current obsession is knitting socks and I've recently had some success knitting some simple lace shawl patterns even though I find charts quite difficult. I always persevere with things that don't necessarily come 'naturally'.
Like many crafters I'm passionate about colour, colour combinations, textures and beautiful yarns. I feel lucky to be knitting right now as there are so many amazing patterns and yarns out there for us aren't there!
