My name is Pirjo and I am a self-taught maker and language teacher living in a beautiful and inspiring coastal town called Porvoo in Southern Finland. I've been making since childhood, and especially after starting my first craft blog back in 2009. After a few years of dabbling between different creative interests, I found crochet to be the best creative outlet for me. And then, during one especially dull and grey Sunday afternoon in January 2014, I came up with the idea of how to crochet diamonds with clear lines. The pattern was simply hidden in the stitches, rows of half double crochet. After that discovery, there has been diamonds everywhere in all possible color combinations. And still, crocheting something simple with that pattern is my favorite form of meditation.
