My mother was an expert knitter and knitted professionally. She taught me how to knit, and as I didn't feel comfortable with the sewing up of garments she used to do that part of it. After her death I didn't do so much knitting , but after a recent illness I have taken it up again. First I taught myself how to knit in the round ( so there was no sewing up) and then taught myself cable. I have recently done a course in finishing off so feel more comfortable with the sewing up. I am currently doing lots of baby items as first grandchild due and I love Debbie Bliss Cashmerino wool .
