I am a self taught Knitwear Designer having learned basic skills from my Mother aged 7. My most fave is Fair Isle, Aran cables and Lacework. I love to knit socks for my Folksy shop. My fave yarn to knit with got to be Alpaca, wool and variegated sock yarn. Besides Knitting I also enjoy making jewellery, embroidery and making greeting cards, making my hobbies my career.
I started my Knitting Club, Cast-On Knitters in 2005, many ladies came and went but a small regular group meet up every Monday, come rain or shine. I met Linda we became good friends, I can no longer attend the Knit Aft, so Linda very kindly come to my flat for our Beatles Aft, knit, chatting about The Beatles, recent albums, sup Bailey’s Latte Macchiato coffee, singalong to Beatles songs while Knitting, proper girls Aft, like Teenagers our ‘me’ time away from family and kids.
