I was taught to knit by my mother when I was 10. At that time I was knitting baby sweaters and booties for my nieces and then for my own son when I was 21.
Life got busy and I didn't knit for over 40 years. I'm not sure why I started again, but now I'm hooked. Yarn is so much nicer than I remember and I find the circular needles are awesome to knit with. One thing that stuck with me all those years ago. Mom told me to read carefully - all pattern punctuation - and you can knit anything. So true.
I love to knit for my fur babies and grandchildren. The smaller projects keep my interest. I love finding cute patterns that I adapt to sweaters for my girls - little Wyndee and Misty. Dog sweaters are great for using leftover yarn as well! Loveknitting is one of my favorite sites. It's nice to order such fabulous yarns online and save a little money while doing so!
