I love soft yarn - merino, silk, cashmere, alpaca. I also love golden retrievers - this is a photo of my current best furry friend. He is also very soft, both in fur and temperament. I'm a retired computer programmer grandmother, and I spend much of my abundant free time knitting. My patterns are all free and I enjoy sharing them. With most of them I just made them to give away as gifts and then thought that other people might like them too. Most of them are easy and I tend to over explain since they are suitable for less experienced knitters. The only tricky pattern is the little henley raglan Christmas tree ornament. It's devilish to do color work in the round in such a tiny size. I have learned great respect for the process of writing patterns. Since I am my own test knitter, I have to make each one at least 3 times before I know the pattern is OK.
