I started knitting about ten years ago - both of my grandmothers loved knitting so I guess it passed on to me! Largely self-taught, just by trying something again and again until I got it right. I always have to have a project on the go, and enjoy knitting/crocheting whilst listening to music or watching tv. For the last few years I've been trying to do a home-made Christmas (partly because I enjoy making things, partly to save money) so I have to get started on the projects early in the year. Also enjoy cross-stitch and embroidery, but I feel most comfortable with a pair of knitting needles in my hand. Live with my fiance and beloved budgie and guinea pig.
