Turnip / Rutabaga
This crochet copy of nature's beautiful design has shading on the root and three different, naturally uneven leaves. No visible seams or front/back - it looks great from all angles!
For an approximately 24cm vegetable (including leaves) you will need double-knitting (DK, light worsted weight, Category 3) yarn in approximately the following quantities:
- White or cream...13.5m
- Purple or pink...13m
- Pale green or white...5.5m
- Dark green...24m
You will also need:
- a 3.5mm (E-4) crochet hook
- a stuffing material (details are provided in the pattern)
- a blunt yarn needle
Available in both UK and US crochet terminology.

Important feature of my crochet patterns:
My patterns include both a detailed 'tutorial-style' set of instructions with colour photos, and a succinct unillustrated pattern using standard crochet conventions - the best of both worlds!
