This is the 11th in my personal challenge for 2014 of designing a crochet scarf a month! For November I wanted to design a motif scarf, something that made up quickly and in a thicker yarn so it would be warmer. When looking through my stash I found this beautiful silk yarn from Willow Knits, it is a heavy dk/worsted weight and the colours glow. I had 5 colours of green and decided to stock up on some more especially for the design. The simplicity of the motif sets off the colours well. It is a hexagon but looks a little like a circle and it makes me think of circles swirling in a green sea. I used 5 colours of yarn, making 61 motifs and alternating them in a regular pattern as shown on page 4. I used about 180g/400m of yarn. I recommend a minimum of 3 colours and try to avoid too many variegated yarns. The motif would also be great in a blanket. As usual, the instructions are provided in English and US crochet terms, and charted
