Spider's web doily and bowl
These items are worked as one continuous round, but written to show each round (UK terms used throughout), so a stitch marker is required to mark the end of the round.
Full instructions with photos are given in the pattern.
The sides of the doily and bowl are not even.
**Materials required: **For both bowl and doily 165 yards/150 metres (approx) No 10 or No 12 crochet cotton, 1.50 mm crochet hook. For either item individually approximately 85 yards/75 metres No 12 crochet cotton.
Finished sizes - Doily: approx 9-inches/23 cm across at widest part, Bowl: approx 6-inches/15 cm across, but will depend on shaping.
**Gauge: **Rounds 1-3 on either item approximately 1½-inches/4 cm across at widest part.
Smaller cobweb doilies and bowls can be worked for a hallowe'en setting, using No 80 crochet cotton and a size 0.60 mm hook. These will be approximately half the size shown above and the doily for example could then be used as a coaster.
