    About

This is my forth pattern I have done for myself by Thea Coleman. I enjoyed doing the cable work at the front and I used the back and sides to practise improving my speed and technique. I have got better at using only one finger to bring the wool around, but not as much better as I had hoped! I tried continental style knitting too, but I found my tension was fluctuating too much to practice that mid-project.
I am very happy with the jumper except with the length of the front. I would like it to be about an inch longer. I measured everything when I started and throughout, and I have been happy with the fit from this designer every other time, so I am not sure what went wrong here. I made the sleeves longer than in the pattern because I like longish sleeves. The neckhole is slightly too wide for me but I expected this as I have narrow shoulders. I would sew it together more but it will make the front even shorter.
The wool has more colour variation than I expected when I ordered it.

    Pattern

    Needles & Hooks

    • Double Point 4.00mm (US 6)
    • Single Point 4.00mm (US 6)

    Accessories

    • Stitch Markers
    • Stitch Holder
Other : I used stitch holders and double pointed needles as cable needles-probably easier with cable needles but don't despair if you don't have any.

You said it was shorter than expected - maybe it’s possible that you started to decrease for the waist too early by measuring the length from the cast on edge and not the end of the ribbing? I nearly did that too because usually you measure from cast on edge so I thought it was quite unusual. Looks great though - love the wool you chose
