      Hello, I'm trying to make this hat too, but every time I get past the ribbed section I end up with garter stitch instead of stocking stitch! Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

        It sounds like you’re not doing it in the round. Once you get past the cable sticking part you have to join the hat in the round. Sorry I didn’t respond earlier I’m rarely logged in

        @Maria J: No problem thanks for replying. Nope defiantly in the round. Second time trying too, just to make sure I was joining it at the right place. Oh well some you win and some you loose. :)
