I know this post was a few years ago but I just wanted to let you know how reassuring it was to see your finished pattern pieces. I have just completed my first sleeve & thought it looked completely wrong. Thank you for going to all the trouble to post these individual photos. I've just got to tackle the neck band & squeeze the weird sleeve shapes into the armholes that look about 3x the size!!!

Hi - I'm glad you found the pics useful - it is a nice pattern but was a bit difficult to follow and keeping the diamond pattern right on an increase/decrease was a nightmare – which is why I ended up writing it out on graph paper – so it can be done. For the nick I think I ended up doing it three times – the stated pickup number of stitches was way out (for me anyway) and there isn’t much give in the wool. In the end I just picked up what I felt was right – just keep it flat and even all the way around and it should be ok. Good luck with it and enjoy.

@David W: Thank you so much for replying - and for your encouragement! Yes, I found the increasing etc a challenge -I have notes and numbers written all over the pattern and on several post-it notes. Thank you again.

Hi ~ just had to reach out to tell you how glad I am to have found this post!
I’ve been knitting this pattern, and have REALLY struggled with the sleeves, as I’d never seen a triangular shaped cap before!! I’ve searched numerous times for some kind of help with the pattern, and have no idea why the search results have never brought me here before ... but now they have ~ and you clearly show that I haven’t done it wrong!! What a relief!
You’ve done a beautiful job ~ your end result is gorgeous!

hi thanks for comment - just seen it today, it was really complicated to do - the pattern is a bit vague - i had to write out the pattern using graph paper - took a while but I got there in the end! :-)

@David W: Hello again! By pure fluke I’ve logged in to this site today, only two days after you replied, having not logged in since I posted my comment!
I actually haven’t yet started on the neck ~ (was so frazzled by trying to get the sleeves sorted out, I just had to take a break from it!) ~ so it’s interesting to see your comments re neckline being too small and needing to re-calculate it. I may just be borrowing your chart!
        Wishing you happy days :)

It's looking great! I totally agree on the neck part. I had to rip it out and redo twice >.> But again my tension was not as perfect as yours!

ha yes - I had to do the neck a few times - I think in the end I used my own number of stitches to pick up - i didn't go by pattern
