    About

I spotted this beauty in a post about homeware patterns on the LoveKnitting blog and figured I had to make it.

After a few foolish attempts, I decided to actually look up what German style short rows are and now the project is progressing smoothly. Be sure to check back later to see the finished result!

January 24, 2017: I finished the basket yesterday and I'm thrilled with how it turned out. For now, I've decided to fill it with balls of yarn for the cardigan I'm making (check it out on my profile) and left it on our coffee table. It adds a cosy feeling while still looking neat and tidy.

I've included eight pictures in total, so make sure to scroll all the way to the end to see details of the WIP as well as the finished product from the top, bottom, and a shot of the buttons.

If you're a beginner, the only thing you need to learn to successfully make this basket is the short row, so I would recommend you give it a go. It's very simple and can be done in a matter of days.
