    About

My mother’s neighbour has knitted sets for every one of her grandkids, but now her hands aren’t well enough to deal with knitting needles anymore, and do my mum and I stepped in. Mum made a cardigan and I made booties and these overalls. I love this pattern, but made a small change as I decided to knit the legs in the round. Great pattern though!

My mom started knitting with bamboo wooden needles as she believed the steel needles hurt her hands

My mum started doing that very recently too! We’ll see how that goes!

Oh how lovely of your mother and yourself to do that, I can remember when my mum was 85 and she was so upset that she couldn't knit anymore due to arthritis. You have made a lovely job of these overalls and what lovely colours.

Yes, she was so upset, and I could really feel for her! I am really sad to see that my mum’s hands are starting to pain her too... she gets her knitting in now, while she’s still able to!

How did it go? Did you try this pattern or did you go with another one?

@Anna L: I made this pattern. If I can figure out why it doesn't like my photos, I will upload it here

Yeah, I’ve tried a few patterns for overalls, but this pattern really is my favourite!
