Ladies shrug bolero, granny square

I made this for myself as a summer cover up.

    I was fascinated that a granny square could turn into a shrug! It is a granny square folded in half and sewn at the sides, leaving spaces for arm holes. The square was 26-28 inches. I also made the large one as a 42 inch square. Here's the link: http://www.mariavalles.com/blog/granny-cocoon-shrug-part-2-going-viral. There is also a great YouTube video called granny square cocoon sweater by yarnutopia. I tried to add the pattern link but system would not let me add it to the pattern used section. I might make a few more of the large ones in different colours!
