    About

My friend Linda has been collecting Santas her whole life. I made Julius for her because he's not a "traditional" Santa and I thought he'd be a nice addition to her collection. I gave him to her last Christmas and she absolutely loved him. Before I gave him away, I photographed him and used the photo for the front of our annual holiday greeting card. I live in Buffalo, NY where we usually have plenty of snow for the holidays, but last year we didn't have any. That's why the front of my card says "where's the snow?"

    Needles & Hooks

    • Double Point 3.50mm (US 4) 15cm

    Accessories

    • Stitch Markers
    • Stuffing
Other : Black floss for eyes

    Measurements

Notes: I used worsted weight yarn because it's what I had. I changed the needle size to 4 in order to accommodate the thicker yarn. I knit the arms and legs 2cm longer than the pattern called for. Also, I used about a cup of poly-pellets in addition to the stuffing, to help him sit up. He was easy to knit and assemble for an intermediate knitter.
