    About

As I had some yarn left over from the fall blanket I started some granny squares, then ordered more yarn, surprise surprise I don't think. Any way I am now two thirds of the way towards a new blanket and experimenting edging for it.it
Up date. 45 of the 60 squares are now done but have run out of the green so will need to place another order. Also need to work on the edging as I'm not quite happy with the way it's looking yet. I started off without a pattern but then found the leaf pattern on bohemianknitter.blogspot on Pinterest.
Squares are completed and crocheted together. The edging I have now modified so each leaf is joined to the one above by picking up the first bind off stitch and knitting it together with the first stitch of row 7. Happily this gives a space between leaves and enough give so when it's attached to the blanket it shouldn't be too tight.
Changed the corner to a crocheted maple leaf and now it is finished.
    I'm pleased with the outcome.
