Baby booties

I made this for a colleague and friend

    About

My colleague and friend was expecting her first baby. She was thrilled when I gave them to her!

I had crocheted before - but mostly just granny squares. It took me a few attempts to get the soles the right size. I was trying to make the 0-6 months size but they kept ending up too small! As I crochet very tightly, I ended up making the bigger size. It's an easy pattern and is very quick to complete if you don't have any tension issues.

I make sweater/cap sets for babies at the Pregnancy center, I've been looking for some simple quick booties/slippers that I can add to the sets, Looks like a keeper to me.

Like little ballet slippers, up on her toes, every baby girl will feel like a tiny ballerina on a music box...Now whose baby gets the first pair?

Love these sweet little shoes. They look so much like maryjanes. Wish I had a granddaughter, but we have been blessed with two grandsons. You did a wonderful job and so thoughtful to do them up for a colleague. ????????????

Oh my gosh! If I saw these on a little one I'd want to squeeze their toesies instead of their cheeks!
