    About

I desperately wanted to make a Yoda outfit for my friend who is Star Wars obsessed. But I couldn't find an ear/hat combination that I liked. So I embarked on combining my favourite baby hat pattern (without the pixi peak) with a trial and error ears.

The pattern I ended up using for the ears was:
    Cast on 20.
stst until piece measured 2inch (finishing on WS)
    K9, K2T, K9
    P to end
    K to end
    P to end
    K8, DD, K8
Contunue the last 4 rows DD in the centre of the piece until 7st remain on your needle.
    P7
    K2, DD, K2
    P5
    K1, DD, K1
    P3
    DD
    Cast off.

I attached the ears in a slight 'C' shape on the DD line fairly low down the side of the hat.

    The result was great!
