    About

I love this pattern it is so fun to make and no two pairs ever look the same. Using two balls of self striping yarn, ensuring that the colours are not lining up ( either use two completely different colour combos OR use two balls of the same self striping yarn but start them at two different places so colours do not overlap). In this case i started one ball at the beginning and reverse wound the second ball so colours are reversed throughout. In doing this you get this fab pattern based on the different colour yarns using a fairly simple pattern. The pattern is very easy to understand as well which always makes knitting fun and less stressful. I've made this pattern 3 times but they always get "scooped" up before i can make them my own so this time I decided to make them for me

    This pattern is from:

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 2.75mm (US 2) 40cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
Other : Tapestry Needle to weave in ends which I did as I went to save me doing so many at the end of the project.

    Measurements

Notes: I made size 1 -10" foot. I increased the length of the leg by one pattern repeat (additional 12 rows) approx 1 inch or 2.5 cm. I tend to knight quite tight and previous knits of this pattern ran bit tight so increased needle size to 2.75-3 mm from 2.25 which makes the sock more slouchy and easier to fit my larger than normal calf sigh...I don't like my big calfs but they are aren't going anywhere soon so I need to knit my socks to accomodate.
