    About

A friend was crocheting a blanket and I thought I would learn to crochet so that I could make one too. I just love the chunky knitted blankets that I have seen in the stores.
I had received three balls of Lion Brand yarn as a gift and after trying a few different stitches using YouTube tutorials I eventually chose front and back post double/treble crochet. It took me a year to finish (it was far too hot to work on it during our long summer last year). The result is a lovely chunky blanket, but it did use a lot of yarn!

Beautiful, cannot believe you are a beginner. I'm always thinking about doing a throw, but I know I would never get it finished!

Thank you Terry. It did take me a whole year to get if finished! 😁
Try a single bed size one using chunky yarn and a big hook then it will go quickly
