Winter Hat for mum

    About

    My very old mum now has very thin hair and during the cold snap last week I heard her say that the hat she normally wears was not warm enough. (it is a market stall nylon thing!), so I decided to knit her a softer version.
    The pattern is knitted on two needles but I knitted this in the round, as I felt it would give a better finished hat.

    • Circular 3.75mm (US 5) 40cm
    • Circular 3.25mm (US 3) 40cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    • Stitch Markers
    Other : You will need a measuring tape and pins as you create a cuff to the brim of the hat.

      I love this pattern but can't seem to find it- have done in the rowan magazine 62 but there isn't a hat like this. Please let me know as I'd really love to make it. Your mum looks so lovely!

        Hi Harriet,
        Thanks for your question. I had scanned the pattern and left it in Book 62 (as a book mark for another project that I was thinking of doing) and put away book 26.
        So the correct location is book 26 page 124. I have edited my project details

        Hi Valerie, sadly I can't make the hat as the book is out of print and I can't find the pattern anywhere .... is it illegal for you to scan it to me?

        Thanks, I was not sure if she would wear it. But she wore it yesterday while we were out walking and said that her head felt nice and worm and not too hot.
