The pouch with handles is a trick-or-treat bag for my youngest daughter. You can see that it's big enoug to accomodate a large pumpkin. I simply knitted an hexagone; then picked up the stitches around it and knitted the body in-the-round, in 6-by-4 orange ribbing, increasing 1 st at on both side of the knit parts (only) every 6 rounds, then knitting straight for a few rows, then decreasing both side of the knit parts every 6 rounds again, to create the pumpkin shape. After bind-off, I knitted a long, green I-cord, cut it, and sewn a portion of it around the 'mouth' of the pouch, and the ends of 2 other portions inside the pouch, as handles.
The bigger sack was a mistake: it was my first attempt, with some 10x5 ribbing, that turned out to be so big I could fit inside it before felting. Even after felting, it was so big there was no way a child could carry it. It's now the big bag in which I keep the candies to give out, on Halloween. I hope you come by my house, on October 31st!
