    About

Had the wool needed something to knit on the plane that was easy most of it completed in the 16 hours to and from St Lucia. I can now knit the Hitchiker scarf in my sleep. The wrapping appear effect is I hate waste and when I wrap Christmas presents it a challenge to have no waste. Only had one skein of the grey having used the rest of that's projects wool on the shawl so added the cream I had.

The flowers came about because the wool Rico Baby Dream DK was purchased for a scarf but it splits terribly but it is super soft. Chopped it up to use the graded colours as required. Spent some time testing out knitted flowers but these icord flowers worked and I got to indulge my button fettish.

Love this! Interesting to hear you knitted it on a flight. Which airlines allow needles? I thought they’d be deemed a “weapon of mass destruction “!

They all do, I did a lot of research they prefer the circular needles but I tend to knit with those and I take a spare but I've taken them on flights to the Middle East Caribbean and Europe this year alone. But unles you want to be blinded by the lights easy is the key on a night flight. You can knit a lot on a 8 hour flight.
