      Also how many balls would I need of this wool to make this sweater on a size K crochet hook which is a 6.5mm. I live in the U.K. so want to make sure I get enough wool. Thank you

        Hi Rhoda I also live in the UK. I reduced my hook size from the 6.5mm indicated down to 5.5mm but if I ever make it again, I’ve noted that I should reduce my hook size even further, to 4.5mm-5mm, that’s because I crochet quite loosely. The Lion Brand Touch of Alpaca is beautiful and soft, a joy to work with. I would order the amount indicated on the pattern for whichever size you go for, small or medium depending on how ‘oversized’ you would like it to be. I purchased another batch of that yarn in Goldenrod which is a beautiful colour, but haven’t had time to use it yet! Good luck!

      May I ask what size you are please. I would love to make this sweater. I wear a 14 top and a 16 bottom so not sure if I should crochet a small or a medium. Thank you n

        Hi Rhoda I’m a size 8 but this cardigan comes up like a medium, personally I would have preferred it a bit more fitted. So suggest you err on the smaller side!
