    About

Saw Philippa P’s. project tea cosy made from this pattern on the site. Loved the finished cosy, knitted in rainbow wool., loved the colours in the wool and contempary pink fur pom-pom she had used. Messaged Plilippa and she told me which yarn she had made the cosy from. Hence I ordered the yarn andI have made a couple teacosys myself. Philippa’s is still my favourite though. This is the easiest, simplest pattern to do, knits up in no time at all; also it can just easily be adjusted to fit larger or smaller teapots, by just increasing or decreasing the amount of stitches by multiples of 4.
You can an find this pattern on Ravely or Castoncastoff Webb sites , it is a free pattern .

    • Circular 4.50mm (US 7) 40cm

Other : Pompon made using pompon maker. Pompon makers are easy and quick to use and make great pom-poms
For second cosy purchased clip on fun fur pompom

    Measurements

Notes: Due to ribbed nature of stitch, fits any regular teapot snuggly. If required can easily adjust width by increasing/decreasing by 4 stitches, with out affecting stitches for decrease at the top. Will just need to do more or less decrease repeats across the row.
I used a small circular needle knitting back and forth for convenience, but single point fine.
The yarn I used is classed as chunky (pattern suggests Aran/worsted) l didn’t find however that I needed to adjust amount of stitches still knitted up to correct size .
