Hannah saw another dress I had knitted and asked me to knit one for her 4 year old daughter Tamzin. I had to adjust the pattern as Tamzin is much bigger than the average four year old she is 27 in chest, and very tall. I found that I needed to follow the 6-8 instructions but with some adjustment to the measurements to get the right fit. I also thought that the dress needed a little brightening so added a white stripe and changed the pocket bows colours too. I am very pleased with the finished garment and really enjoyed knitting it.
I have arthritis in my fingers and find that knitting helps to keep them supple. I am also retired and fill many 'spare' hours with my knitting so it keeps me sane!
