      where do i get the pattern. I am not very good at crochet but want to make this afghan.

        Apologies for the late reply Trisha. I didn't use a pattern - the afghan is just double crochet followed by a chain space and then double crochet into each chain space followed by a chain (or single crochet in American terms). Ive seen the stitch referred to as linen or woven stitch. I used Bernat Blanket. It was quite expensive to make (about £60!) but was quick and is lovely on my bed! This stitch is also great for baby blankets and wash clothes.
