    About

I just love James C Brett Baby Marble DK. I hadn't used this shade before. When the pattern of the yarn started to show I just loved it. I called this blanket Sunset Marble as the yarn reminded me of a sunset.

I like using it for kiddies jumpers, as it comes out different every time. I'm doing one just now for the wee boy next door and it's a mix of greens, blues and lilacs. The jumper for his little brother was in shades of blues, which I think is my favourite. It's a nice wool to knit with too.

Sounds nice. Hope you post it when complete. I'm on a bit of trying different colour combinations with Stylecraft Special DK. I've got the full range in yarn pegs. I'm trying to be more confident in the combos I make, something different. I no longer have 5 ball combos around the house much to my husbands delight :)

That's one of the reasons I love the yarn. No two blankets are the same. It's very easy to match up as you finish each ball. There is very little wastage when doing this. I also was worried when I first started using it. Now I think I do it in my sleep.
I've recently acquired some yarn pegs and really enjoying making combinations. My Blue Storm blanket is one.

Hi Valencia B. I can't see a way to answer your question so I will here.

This blanket is very simple. The pattern is just one I made up.

      I used a Tulip 3.75mm hook.

      1. Make 150 chain.

      2. 1 treble in 4th chain from hook and continue 1 treble in each chain to end. 3 chain and turn.

      3. Miss treble closet to hook. *3 treble in next treble. Miss 1 treble. 1 treble in next treble. Miss 1 treble*. Repeat from * to * end. 1 treble in turning chain, 3 chain turn.

      4. *3 treble in middle treble of group from previous round, 1 chain. Miss treble from previous round* Repeat from * to * end. 1 treble in turning chain. 3 chain turn.

      5. *3 treble in middle of group from previous round. 1 treble in 1 chain space* repeat from * to * end. 1 treble in turning chain. 3 chain, turn.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 for 89 rows. On 90th row 1 treble in each treble and 1 chain space till end. 1 treble in turning chain. Fasten off.

For the border I just worked 2 rows of treble. In corners I put
