    About

The socks are very soft and comfortable to wear and the slip-stitch design gives a good cushioning effect to the sole.

Notes: I used about 75gm of yarn for the medium-sized socks.

Did a sample for the cuff using three balls and a sample for the cuff using only one ball in the purple KPPPM. They looked pretty much the same. Do like the twisted rib for the sock.

Just purchased your Mentmore socks. I am using Koigu Painters Palette yarn #319 in purples. Do I need to make three balls from the one skein I purchased to make a pair of the socks in a small size?

Hi Carol, Thank you so much! That's it. 3 ends of yarn are being worked at the same time, so you'll have 3 balls in your main colour and 3 balls in your contrast colour. The pattern then mixes the different tonal batches together to give a matching pair of socks. I used about 75gm of yarn in total for the medium sized sock, so 1 skein of each colour should do fine for the small size. Moira

I have 15 skeins of Koigu PPM that I won from Loveknitting in the June contest. I hope I can get proficient enough to knit these socks soon! I love them!
