    About

I had lots of bits and bobs of 8ply yarn and this sweater that I had seen others knit was an ideal opportunity to utilise the yarn. This was one of many projects I had on the go at the same time and it sat waiting to be sewn up for weeks! Only thing I didn’t like about this sweater was the ‘no cut’ buttonholes, but apparently this is quite common on the Bergere knitting patterns.

This looks lovely, great colours too. I hadn’t heard of no cut buttonholes, so had to look them up - they sound interesting!

Thanks Jo, this was my first ‘no cut’ buttonholes, I must admit I much prefer the ‘real’ thing. However even after decades of knitting, there is always something new to learn!

How wonderful Lyn and such a lovely place to all get together. We are travelling in our caravan at the moment and I am really missing my 8 grand children.

Not until early Oct, but have discovered son & family in Broken Hill are calling into Vienna same time to surprise my daughter. So I will get to see all 4 grandies at once, a rare treat!

Thank you Susan, I have already sent my niece a few tops for her new baby, but am loving having the time to knit for all the new babies being born.
