    About

I live in the Highlands of Scotland with my husband and three kids. The small rural school my children attend is fantastic and has helped so many local children with learning difficulties. However with all the budget cuts, this little school is struggling to raise funds for new playground equipment. I wanted to help.

I recently started knitting socks and realised very quickly that I was going to have small amounts of these gorgeous hand dyed yarns left over. My search began for something to use up these odds and ends. There are so many beautiful patterns out there but nothing that appealed to me. I love the traditional octagon patchwork quilts and combining this style with sock toes the Sock-Toe-Gone pattern was born.

Of course they don't need to be done in sock yarn, you can use whatever you have. They are easier to store than oddments of yarn and take up less space too.

Proceeds from the sale of the pattern will go to the local school.
