    About

For my second project I decided to try a different yarn and found the simple Ophelia wrap that needs 4 ply/fingering yarn. I chose the pattern because it's a little different from the usual 'beginner' scarf, and has an interesting lacy design. I chose another Cascade natural fibre yarn (Heritage Silk) which has generally been lovely to work with those it does separate out quite readily and, being fine, is a horror to unpick. The merino/silk blend is soft and, as only one skein was required, within my budget for this project.

I killed this project! It was a tough decision but I hadn’t worked on it for a while as I was fed up with it. The lacy effect of this pattern, together with the feel of the yarn, reminded me of the dishcloths my Nan and Mum used to make. So I made the decision today to unpick it. I have started to experiment with another scarf in a closer texture but am still unsure...I may turn it into dishcloths!
