    About

I have been trying out a few different baby patterns recently. This is a easy top down pattern. I used the yarn suggested on the love knitting site. Paintbox cotton. The pattern is for double knit/light worsted. This yarn although double knit looks finer. ? Because it is a cotton yarn. I found when knitted on 4 mm needles the texture is more open than with wool.. The result is a pretty, lightweight garment. Nice for summer. If you want a cosier warmer garment would suggest choosing a thicker wool. The pattern I think would be suitable of an experienced beginner. The instructions are clear and straight forward, a good pattern to start with if knitting all in one piece for the first time. The amount of yarn suggested is 3 balls, i in fact only actually used just over one and a half. The Ballet Pink is a lovely shade of pale pink.
