I wanted a sweater I could "wash the dishes" wearing. I've had to take off my sweater every time I went to do a messy household chore this winter and it often left me chilled or avoiding the chore. I don't need more excuses for not cleaning. :)
The yarn I chose didn't really knit up to the specified tension on it's label, (it's more worsted than chunky), so I down sized the needle to a 6 mm(10) for a more acceptable fabric and I'm following the instructions for a large rather than a small. I've also eliminated the side seams and the first 8.5 inches are knit as one piece.
April 6th, This project has had several false starts but we're finally in the home stretch.
April 17th: I don't know what happened with the sleeves but, as you can see in the 4th photo, by the pattern on the left and with an extra 20 stitches to make it fit, on the right.
