I wanted a little project for the bank holiday weekend and this was perfect. Since then everyone decided they like them so have made them for various family members and friends
Brilliant! It's a fun pattern.
I used the recommended snowflake yarn. I was sad to see recently that it has been discontinued although it was quite difficult to work with. Peter Pan Precious Chunky might be a good alternative - I have made a bear out of that and it is similar. It's out of stock on here at the moment (how annoying!) but other sites may have it. I also used 18mm safety eyes rather than felt, which I got from celloexpress.co.uk - there are all kinds of toy-making goodies on that site.
Good luck!
