    About

We do know it is a girl, so knitting this cute outfit in pink is not a problem.

If you did not know whether it is going to be a girl or boy you could always knit it in another colour!

The sheep are fluffy and soft knitted in Sirdar Snowflake chunky. There is a back opening for the sweater to make it easy to dress the baby.

The pattern comes in 4 sizes - birth to 3 months 3-6 months, 6-12 months and 12-18 months and includes the trousers, sweater and hat.

Hello again! I’m on the first trouser leg and am wondering if I haven’t followed the pattern correctly as it seems very big. I knit the leg part to 20cm, then it says the crutch should be 16cm and then the waistband 24 knit rows. They just seem very big in comparison to the jumper, one leg even when folded over is nearly the same width as the wee jumper. I wish I could send you a picture to see, but I must have done something wrong somewhere 😂 because the waist part of the trousers is as long as the whole jumper. Any help or advise would be appreciated 😊 thanks x

        Hi Claire,
        Thank you for your note.

The waistband will be folded over to the inside of the trousers to make a seam for the elastic which will be inserted at the end. The elastic will pull in the waist so it won't seem so wide. The trousers are wide leg and there is room from crutch to waist to accommodate for a baby's nappy.

        I hope this helps.

        Best wishes
        Denny

@Denny (iKnitDesigns): thank you for your quick response. I decided last night to plough on with them as I thought it may all come together once I sew them up, and now your explanation makes perfect sense! I don’t have children and stupidly didn’t consider the nappy. I’m glad I messaged you now because I just couldn’t get my head around it. I will post pictures when they’re all done 😊 thank you once again! I’m doing the blue sheep jumper of yours next for my little nephew, excited to start it! 😁

Yes, no problem to add them to the back of the jumper. You will have plenty of yarn if you buy a ball of the fluffy yarn.

Gorgeous outfit, love the sheep on the jumper and hat, the stripey trousers set it off nicely. 😊
