    About

    My friend of 30 years was diagnosed with Rhematoid Arthritis and stated how cold she kept feeling, and the pain she was trying to bear. My friend has rarely complained of such things in the past. Knowing severe pain myself, and loving layers to throw on to aid relief, I set about searching for a shawl pattern that I thought I could master. I picked a yarn from my LYS that I knew my friend would like, similar to the pattern recommendations, but was not too bothered about the overall size and gauge.
    I only came back to knitting about 8 years ago, after losing my sight 17 years ago. Starting with easier projects, but missing my love of lace and fair isle, this was a challenge I was determined to achieve for the love of my friend.
    Now I am back on the knitting addiction and can’t stop!!
