I have lots of leftover bits of yarn and nothing to knit - I needed yarn to complete one project and circular needles to complete another. I love mixing patterns, colours and textures - the result is this shawl.
It starts with 3 stitches, increasing 1 stitch at the end of each row. It's mostly knitted in leftover aran but I also used double strands of 4-ply Spindrift. I didn't use a pattern but wanted to introduce both shapes and bands of colours as well as different textures. I used a mixture of garter stitch for stripes and solid colours and stocking stitch for the geometric shapes.
