    About

A couple of years ago I made my sister a pair of socks for her wellingtons, a bit risky as she's more of a city grl than a wellie girl; to my surprise they have been a great success. She tells me she wears them on every trip she makes back home to Scotland. She's made a fair few trips over the past couple of years and the socks are looking, how shall I say it, well loved!
So maybe it's time for a second pair of socks for the North...

Where would I find the pattern that you use for your socks please , I’m thinking of being brave and maybe attempting to knit a pair in the New Year!

        Correze

Hi Alison. It's a pattern leaflet that I've had for years. It's called Regia Design Line Jazz Colours and it's a really good basic sock pattern - it looks as though it's still available here: https://www.mcadirect.com/shop/regia-design-line-journal-610-erika-knight-jazz-colours-p-3230.html
If you can't find it then I'd suggest trying Family Sock Pattern by
STELLA ACKROYD - which you can find on Love Knitting. I've read this pattern and it's very similar to Jazz Colours, though it uses smaller gauge needles. Give socks a try, I'll bet you become addicted! Happy knitting!
