    About

I'm an experienced knitter, but have never really got on with crochet. However, when I spotted this stash busting blanket on Facebook I decided it was time to learn properly. This project is a fantastic one to learn on - the blanket contains loads of different stitches and techniques, all explained very clearly in Eleonora's video tutorials. The Coastal Crochet CAL Facebook page is a wonderfully supportive group - there's always someone to offer advice if you get stuck. And it's fantastic to see all the different blankets people make - no two are the same. It was a 35 week CAL (crochet along) last year, but all patterns and tutorials are up on the site so you can do them at your own pace - and many people are starting even now. Despite being a crochet beginner I managed to do 35 weeks of CAL in 35 days (not consecutive) and am so delighted with the result.

You are very kind - it was my first ever crochet blanket, so it doesn't bear too close scrutiny!

And so you should be! What a colour fest, it's gorgeous. How I love a sampler blanket. I am also a knitter that came over to the bright side.

@Ceebee: your colours could be mine! I rather like your seaside I just might have to have a go at that one. Did you see my little woolie blanket? That was my first.
